Homemade Taco Seasoning

I love making tacos and taco soup but I find that usually the store bought packaged taco seasoning is too spicy for me!  I used to use just half the packet when cooking so that my img_2905food would not be too spicy but I found that I lost the flavor I was wanting.  So I had to start experimenting by making my own taco seasoning!  What I have found is that I love making my own!  The reason is that I can have a lot of amazing flavor and control just how much spice is in it!  This is the recipe I use for all my taco and taco soup recipes!
Ingredients:
6 Tbsp Chili powder
9 tsp cumin
6 tsp kosher salt
3 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp oregano
3 tsp black pepper
Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a glass mason jar.  Close jar and shake to mix seasoning well!  When cooking 3 Tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning is approximately 1 envelope of store bought seasoning.
