Fabtabulous Muddy Buddy Popcorn

So every Friday or Saturday night we have family movie night at our house.  One of my favorite things to do is make popcorn on those nights!  But I personally prefer savory popcorn so my sonIMG_0015.jpg
really is never interested in the popcorn because it is some kind of butter with salt or other seasonings sometimes with cheeses.  So this week I am all about the sweet popcorn!
Muddy buddies are super yummy and I’ve always loved them, but I never have the cereal on hand.  So why not switch out the cereal for popcorn?  It actually worked out really well!  I was super yummy, but you really have to use the semi sweet or dark chocolate chips because the milk chocolate chips do not have a strong enough flavor to stand up against the powdered sugar and peanut butter!
Happy Movie Night!
1/2 cup popcorn Kernels
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup semi sweet or dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1.  1.  Pop the popcorn either in a pop with about 3 Tbsp of oil, in a popcorn machine, or in a glass bowl with a glass plate on top in the microwave for about 4-5 minutes.
2.  Combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a bowl.  Microwave for about 30 seconds and then stir until smooth. You may have to do this for a couple rounds at 30 seconds intervals making sure to take it out and stir each time.  Be careful because you can burn your peanut butter and chocolate!
3.  Put the popcorn in a large airtight container.  Pour the chocolate mixture over top of the popcorn and stir gently to coat all of the popcorn.
4.  Pour in powdered sugar and put the lid on the container.
Shake well!  And Enjoy!
