Sometimes I just find frosting to be too sweet and rich for me! But do you know what I can never get enough of? Chocolate! I find that I really enjoy ganache on top of chocolate cupcakes! But really, isn’t everything made better when you add a little chocolate!
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/3 cup semi sweet or dark chocolate chips
Warm the heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl for 1 1/2-2 minutes. It should not boil, but it should be very hot.
Then pour the heavy cream over the chocolate chips and let sit for 10 minutes.
Stir until smooth. Pour onto your favorite cakes and cupcakes!!
